Trunk-or-Treat candy and fun in downtown Bensenville Oct. 30

Posted

Do you want free candy? Want to enjoy Halloween with the family? Then come to Bensenville’s Trunk-or-Treat event, a family friendly environment where Bensenville’s youngest residents can wear their costumes and get free candy all in one place.

As an alternative option to trick-or-treating, local community organizations, businesses and taxing bodies come together to decorate their cars in a Halloween theme and pass out candy to the kids.

This year, Trunk-or-Treat takes place the day before Halloween on Friday, Oct. 30 in downtown Bensenville from 3-5 p.m. along Center Street between Village Hall and Center Theatre. In case of bad weather, the event will be held inside of Village Hall.

“Trunk-or-Treat is a lot of fun because I get to see all of the creatively decorated cars and how clever people can be with their costumes,” said Village President Frank DeSimone. “Events like this bring the community together and provide Bensenville families a safe and fun environment to enjoy Halloween.”

Center Street will be closed by 2 p.m. between Greet Street and Railroad Avenue. If you’re signed up to pass out candy, make sure to be there before the event starts at 3 p.m. We can't wait to see all the creative costumes and decorated trunks that celebrate this fun community tradition.
