The Lombard Police Department recently reported the following arrests and citations. Persons charged with domestic battery are not named in order to protect the privacy of victims. Readers are reminded that an arrest does not constitute a conviction, and that subjects are considered innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law. Juveniles age 17 or younger are not named.
Assault, battery
Aug. 6
A complainant in the 200 block of E. 22nd reported at 3:30 a.m. that a subject possibly assaulted him during the night. The subject advised he was asleep when the complainant called and nothing had happened between them.
Aug. 5
A complainant in the 1500 block of S. Main reported that a subject pushed him. The subject denied the allegations, but he did advise that the complainant threatened him during the altercation.
A nurse at the Lombard Police Department reported at 11:13 p.m. that an unknown female went to Edward Hospital, stating she was assaulted somewhere in Lombard. The victim did not wish to file a police report or complete a sexual assault kit.
Criminal damage, criminal trespassing
Aug. 5
An employee at JCPenney, 175 Yorktown, advised an unknown male who had been banned for a year and observed at the mall. The area was checked with no results.
Domestic battery, disorderly conduct, domestic incident, dispute, disturbance
Aug. 9
A complainant in the 800 block of E. St. Charles reported an unknown male was arguing with someone. The complainant reportedly told the subject to be quiet. The complainant then advised that the subject returned to her home and began yelling and threatening her. An officer was unable to locate the subject.
Aug. 7
An employee at Paradise Bay Water Park, 437 E. St. Charles, advised that two male subjects were causing a disturbance. The subjects left prior to an officer’s arrival.
An employee at Altitude, 481 E. Roosevelt, reported three subjects were fighting. An employee wanted all the parties trespassed. The subjects were advised and left without incident.
A 33-year-old Glendale Heights man was charged with domestic battery near Main and Sunset at 9:25 p.m. He was transported to the DuPage County Jail.
DUI, DUI-drugs, consumption of alcohol by a minor, illegal possession of alcohol
Aug. 9
Ascension Alcantar Palacios, 38, of Montgomery, was charged with DUI in the 1000 block of E. Division at 1:05 a.m.
Aug. 6
Jillian Dein, 25, of Bolingbrook, was issued a notice to appear for overserving alcohol to an intoxicated person at a restaurant in the 2300 block of S. Fountain Square at 9:58 p.m.
Liliana Flores, 31, of Des Plaines, was charged with DUI, endangering the life of a child, speeding and a child restraint violation in the 1300 block of S. Main at 12:18 a.m.
Harassment, threats
Aug. 7
A complainant reported an old co-worker reached out and stated she would find her, but there were no threats to harm the complainant.
Aug. 4
A complainant at a business in the 1900 block of S. Highland advised that a subject came in and made threats after being refused employment. An officer spoke to the subject, who advised he believed he had been hired. The subject was trespassed from the property.
Identity theft, fraud
According to information provided by the Lombard Police Department, seven incidents of identity theft or fraud were reported in the village between Aug. 4 and Aug. 10.
Retail theft
According to information provided by the Lombard Police Department, police reported the following incidents of retail theft between Aug. 4 and Aug. 10: CVS, 1005 E. Roosevelt, at 3:34 p.m. and again at 4:18 p.m. Aug. 4; and ChiCity Soles, 21 Yorktown, at 2:29 p.m. Aug. 7.
Aug. 6
Ivory Allen-Webb, 36, of Chicago, was issued a citation for retail theft at Target, 60 Yorktown, at 1:38 p.m.
Suspicious incident
Aug. 8
A complainant in the 800 block of E. Butterfield reported at 8:02 p.m. that an unknown female asked him why he was following her. The complainant reported that the female subject took a picture of his license plate.
A juvenile in the 1-100 block of W. St. Charles was detained but released without charges for picking up a wooden horse barricade to use as a weapon. The juvenile, who advised he was tired of being bullied, was released to a parent.
Aug. 7
A complainant in the 200 block of E. 22nd reported she received a life insurance check from her husband's insurance, and advised her sons are attempting to access the money. The sons reported they believe their mother is being scammed and opened a bank account with her to keep the money safe.
A complainant in the 100 block of Norbury reported he sent private images to an unknown female on Instagram. He advised someone contacted him demanding money and threatening to send his photos to others.
Aug. 6
A complainant in the 200 block of E. 22nd advised at 11:55 p.m. that he was being followed by multiple women across the country and stalked on social media.
Aug. 5
A complainant at Bella Terra, 2100 S. Finley, reported that a resident sprayed her in the face with an air freshener. The complainant wanted to press charges.
A woman near Westmore-Meyers and Woodrow reported she clipped the back end of a juvenile who was on a bike. She advised she stopped to speak with the juvenile, but the juvenile refused medical attention and continued onto the Illinois Prairie Path.
Theft, burglary, deceptive practices
Aug. 9
A complainant in the 1100 block of S. Finley reported an unknown subject stole a package that belonged to the complainant.
Aug. 8
A complainant at the Yorktown Mall reported at 8:12 p.m. leaving a pack of Pokemon cards he purchased on a vendor table in the mall. Upon returning to the table, the pack was gone.
Aug. 6
A complainant in the 600 block of N. Parker reported their home was vandalized by an unknown male subject. An officer observing surveillance footage reportedly saw the subject throw an object at the residence and steal a sign.
A complainant in the 1000 block of S. Edson reported someone keeps stealing their solar lights from the yard.
Aug. 5
A complainant at LA Fitness, 575 E. Roosevelt, reported money was stolen out of his wallet.
An employee at Cinnabon, 203 Yorktown, reported a man possibly stole her phone. No further suspect information was available.
Warrant arrest
Aug. 8
Justin Williams, 29, of Homewood, was transported to the DuPage County Jail on a warrant at 10:07 p.m.
Aug. 4
Nicholas Kroll, 32, of Burr Ridge, was transported to the Lombard Police Department, processed on a warrant and taken to the DuPage County Jail.
Pablo Ruvalcaba-Monterrubi, 41, of Aurora, was transported to the Lombard Police Department, processed and released on a Lee County warrant for speeding.
