The Village of Lombard has announced the winners of its 2026 “Blooming with Pride: America 250” photo contest.

The contest, held from May 1 through May 31, invited residents and visitors to submit photographs capturing the people, places and moments that reflect community pride in Lombard.

More than 50 entries were submitted. After careful review on June 15, the Community Relations Committee selected the following winners:

  • First Place: Maria Gutierrez—“Lilac Parade”
  • Second Place: Zachary Russavage—“Zinnias Field”
  • Third Place: Erik Gonzalez—“Tuesdays on St. Charles”

“Thank you to everyone who submitted photos for this year’s contest,” said Trustee Jessie Hammersmith, chair of the Community Relations Committee. “These photos are a great reminder of what makes Lombard such a special place to live, work and visit."

The winning photos will be displayed at Village Hall, featured in the next edition of the E-Pride newsletter and posted on the village website. Contest winners will also receive certificates of recognition and Visa gift cards in the amounts of $100 for first place, $50 for second place and $25 for third place.
