The York boys golf team had itself a school-record day recently in Oswego.

The Dukes shot an 11-under par 277 to win the Coach K invitational against Lyons Township, Hinsdale Central and Geneva at Fox Bend Golf Club in Oswego.

Individually, York senior Grant Hickman established a new program record by shooting a 7-under 65 amidst wet conditions.

Hickman had nine birdies and two bogeys during his record-setting round.

Sophomore Brian Huber finished with a 2-under 70, while senior Will Huber and sophomore Henry Cecil each shot 1-under 71s.

York edged Hinsdale Central by two strokes, defeated Lyons Township by 10 strokes and Geneva by 14 strokes.

“It was a great test and we passed with flying colors,” York coach Jim Borel said.
