Wilma Ann Bain, née Presnell, age 90, of Lombard, Illinois, passed away peacefully on Sept. 4, 2026. A funeral service celebrating her life was held on Sept. 12, 2026.
Wilma was preceded in death by her beloved husband, William Bain; her parents, Leona, nee Crawford, and Alma “Bob” Presnell; and her siblings.
She was the loving mother of Susan (Robert) Hughes, Robert “Bob” (Janet) Bain, and Scott (Holli) Bain; devoted grandmother of Jessica Pecoraro, Matthew Cobb, William Bain, Logan Bain, and Coulson Bain; and cherished great-grandmother of Nora, June, Lyla, and Liam.
For more than three decades, Wilma devoted herself to The Co-Op Preschool of Lombard, serving as a teacher and director. Her warmth and dedication touched generations of children and families and left a lasting mark on the Lombard community.
She treasured her lifelong friendships with her Sigma Kappa sisters, who remained a special part of her life. Above all, Wilma’s greatest joy was her family. She was immensely proud of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, and her love for them was unconditional and everlasting.
Wilma leaves behind a legacy of love, family, friendship, service, and community. She will be deeply missed, forever loved, and always remembered.
