Several members of the Lombard Waves completed the 2026 season by swimming in the DuPage Swim and Dive Conference’s Red Division ‘B’ Meet at Barracuda Bay Water Park in Bartlett on Saturday, July 11.
The main goal of the swimmers who participated in the Red Division ‘B’ Meet was to set new personal-best times for the season. The Waves made a total of 133 “splashes” during the meet in Bartlett. Lombard swimmers set personal-best times in 93 of those swims, for a success rate of 70 percent. The Waves’ success rate of earning personal-best times in 70 percent of their splashes marked the best rate of the six teams that competed in the meet. Bartlett swimmers earned personal-best times for the season in 69 percent of their swims in the meet.
While some Waves finished the 2026 season by competing at the Red Division ‘B’ Meet, others will close out the season by swimming in the Red Division ‘A’ Meet in Glendale Heights this Saturday, July 18.
In addition to Lombard, the six-team Red Division includes Bartlett, Butterfield, Glendale Heights, Hanover Park and Wood Dale/Addison.
