Warrior from the Class of 2026 receives scholarship

Allie Coppersmith, who is a member of Willowbrook High School’s Class of 2026, recently received an Illinois High School Activities Foundation (IHSAF) Scholarship. The scholarship is a $1,000 award given to high school seniors who plan to pursue careers in education as teachers, coaches, or officials. Applicants must submit a video reflecting on how high school participation has impacted their lives and demonstrate their intent to major in education or serve as a coach/official. Coppersmith was a standout member of Willowbrook’s softball team. She will continue her academic and softball careers at Millikin University. Coppersmith is pictured at this year’s Dr. Marty Hickman IHSAF Golf Outing, which took place June 16 at The Den at Fox Creek in Bloomington. Proceeds from the outing directly fund the IHSAF scholarships.
