Timothy Christian baseball team finishes season strong

Cook homers twice in last four games; Trojans win three of final four

The Timothy Christian baseball team ended its 2026 season on a high note, winning three of its last four contests.

Timothy finished off the regular season with a two-game sweep of Northridge Prep out of Niles. This was Northridge’s first season in the Chicagoland Christian Conference.

In a 7-4 win over Northridge, the Trojans overcame an early 2-0 deficit to record the win, thanks to scoring at least one run in every inning but one. Timothy had seven hits.

Shortstop Braydon McMillen went 2-for-3 with a run scored. Catcher James Noll went 2-for-4 with a double and an RBI. Second baseman Eli Cook went 2-for-2 with two runs scored, a home run and two RBI. Center fielder Jonah Roemmich went 1-for-3 with two RBI, while third baseman Luke  Lane had a hit and an RBI. McMillen and  Ethan Potempa each stole a base.

Brian Gannon was the winning pitcher. He threw a seven-inning complete game, allowing only three earned runs, striking out seven and walking one. He threw 68 of 100 pitches for strikes.

Timothy made it a sweep after a 6-3 win over Northridge. Again, Timothy trailed 3-1 at one point, but came back with four runs in the fourth and one in the fifth to pull out the win. The Trojans were again active with the bats with 13 hits.

McMillen had a hit and two RBI. Noll had two hits, while Gannon went 3-for-5 with an RBI. Cook had a hit and an RBI. Roemmich had a hit, a run score and an RBI. Lane had a hit and a run scored. Designated hitter Daniel Dagenhart went 3-for-4 with a run scored and an RBI. First baseman Levi Hoffman went 1-for-3 with a run scored.

Cook, Noll and Hoffman each doubled. McMillen had two sacrifice flies, while Roemmich had one sacrifice fly.

Johnny Tragos was the winning pitcher. He went 5 2/3 innings, allowing two earned runs. He struck out eight and walked one. Roemmich pitched the last inning and a third to earn the save. He struck out two.

Timothy then opened play in the Class 3A Nazareth Academy regional in La Grange Park with a 6-3 win over Chicago Hancock. Hancock led 3-1 in the fourth inning, but Timothy scored three runs in the fifth and two more in the bottom of the sixth to win it.

McMillen went 2-for-4 with two RBI. Noll had a hit, a run scored and two RBI. Hoffman had a hit and a run scored, while Dagenhart had two hits, a run scored and an RBI. McMillen, Dagenhart and Noll each doubled. McMillen stole a base.

Noll was the winning pitcher. He went five innings, striking out four and allowing one earned run. Tragos picked up the save. He pitched the final two innings and struck out six. He threw 21 of 25 pitches for strikes.

The Trojans then lost 10-2 to host Nazareth Academy in the Class 3A Nazareth Academy regional title game. Nazareth led 6-0 after three innings.

McMillen went 1-for-3 with a run scored. Gannon went 1-for-3 with an RBI, while Cook went 1-for-3 with a  solo home run. McMillen doubled. Tragos took the loss.

Timothy finished with a 9-18 overall record and finished 7-9 in Chicagoland Christian Conference play. The team honored senior Dagenhart during its senior night celebration during the tail-end of the regular season.
