Rock ‘N Wheels continues Thursday night with Talking Heads Tribute band Big Suit

Posted

Continuing the summer season’s Rock ‘N Wheels Bike & Car Cruise Night performances from 6 to 10 p.m. on the Village Green is a night of new wave rock music and fun.

The Village of Addison will highlight the night with Big Suit, a Talking Heads Tribute band, starting their set at 8 p.m. on Thursday, weather permitting.

Greasing the wheels for a night of performances will be the opening band, The Electric Cars, a tribute to The Cars, which will start its show at 6:30 p.m.

The fun doesn’t end there, however. Stop by the Addison Historical Museum for a portrayal of General Von Steuben done by Terry Lynch, or ring the historic fire bell on the museum grounds to celebrate the United States’ 250th anniversary.

Be sure to take a look around inside at the exhibits in the museum as well, or go to the Craft & Vintage Fair lining the museum buildings. All of this is available from 6 to 8 p.m. and entrance to the museum is free.

Food, beverages, and desert will be available for purchase from Addison’s very own: Holy Smokes, Barbara’s Polish Deli, Sweet n Brew, Lou Malnati’s, Tacos Puebla, Dunkley’s Tavern, and Juan Y Yo Taco Grill.

Additionally, swing by the Car Show located at Green Meadow Shopping Center where you can see classic cars in the spots along Lake Street only. Custom bikes can park on the East side of May Street to be viewed as well.

The following sponsors help fund Rock ‘N Wheels: 95.9 The River, Addison Bank & Trust, Addison Green Meadow Shopping Center, Aetna, Aetna Better Health Premier Plan MMAI, Country Financial Fred Yanez, Everette’s Fresh Roast Coffee, GreenState Credit Union, Hatch, Humes Funeral Home, Itasca Bank & Trust Co., Knauf Law, Loan Depot, Marcus Theatres, Republic Services, Right At School, Salazar’s Auto Repair, and Xtra Mile Exteriors.
