Public Safety Night Out—an evening of hands-on fun with the Elmhurst Police and Fire departments— was held Thursday, Aug. 6, at Berens Park. Residents met with officers and firefighters who serve our community, explored police and fire vehicles, and enjoyed interactive activities and safety demonstrations. Kids were treated to Sparky the Fire Dog, and attendees also watched a helicopter land. The evening provided a great opportunity to learn about public safety, ask questions, and connect with the first responders who help keep Elmhurst safe. (Submitted photo)
