The Bensenville Park District invites the community to get a head start on celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month with an evening of live Latin music, dancing and great food during the free Live at White Pines Salsa Night from 6-10 p.m. Friday, Sept. 11, at the Pavilion at White Pines, 500 W. Jefferson St. in Bensenville.

The all-ages event will feature a live performance by Chicago-area salsa and Latin jazz favorite Projecto 7. Food and beverages will be available for purchase throughout the evening, making it a festive night out for families, friends and music lovers alike.

"Live at White Pines Salsa Night is one of our favorite traditions because it brings people together through great music, delicious food and a fun, welcoming atmosphere," said White Pines PGA General Manager Andrew Godfrey. "Projecto 7 always delivers an energetic performance that gets the crowd dancing, and we're excited to welcome everyone for another memorable evening."

Known throughout the Chicagoland area for its high-energy performances, Projecto 7 blends classic salsa with Latin jazz and contemporary Latin rhythms. The band's versatile repertoire celebrates the music of legendary artists including Tito Puente, Héctor Lavoe, Willie Colón and other icons of the salsa movement while adding its own vibrant style that keeps audiences on the dance floor.

Owned and operated by the Bensenville Park District, White Pines Golf Club offers more than championship golf. Its Pavilion, Pine Room and banquet facilities host a variety of community and private/corporate events throughout the year, making White Pines a destination for entertainment, dining and special occasions.

Admission to Live at White Pines Salsa Night is free. The event takes place rain or shine in the Pavilion at White Pines. For updates and additional event information, visit WhitePinesGolf.com. For information about the Bensenville Park District, visit BvilleParks.org
