The Bensenville Park District is seeking local artisans and community sponsors for its annual Harvest Fest, scheduled for noon to 5 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 26, at Fischer Farm, 16W680 Old Grand Ave., Bensenville.
The free community festival draws thousands of visitors each year for an afternoon of fall fun, live entertainment, food, family activities and shopping from local artisans.
The Park District is accepting applications from vendors offering handmade arts and crafts, pottery and other unique, hand-made merchandise. The $25 vendor registration fee includes a 12-by-12-foot outdoor booth space. Vendors must provide their own tents, tables, chairs and electrical needs.
"Artisan Alley is one of the most popular attractions at Harvest Fest, and our local artisans and vendors are a huge part of what makes the event so special," Fischer Farm Manager Christine Shiel said. "We're also incredibly grateful for community sponsors like Grand Subaru, ARC Limited local McDonald's restaurants and Texas Roadhouse of Mt. Prospect, whose support helps make this free event possible for families throughout the community."
Artisan vendor applications are available at BvilleParks.org/HarvestFest. Questions about artisan vendor opportunities may be directed to Shiel at cshiel@bvilleparks.org.
Harvest Fest features live music, food and beverages, a pumpkin patch, bounce houses, children's crafts, carnival games and other family-friendly activities. Last year's festival attracted nearly 2,000 visitors to Fischer Farm.
Businesses interested in sponsoring Harvest Fest can choose from a variety of sponsorship opportunities supporting festival activities, attractions and event areas. Sponsorships provide valuable exposure while helping the Park District continue offering one of Bensenville's signature community events.
