Former Montini Catholic football coach Chris Andriano is pictured with his grandchildren before the Broncos’ Aug. 21 season-opening game in Lombard. The synthetic playing surface at Montini’s stadium was replaced in June. The new surface is named “Chris Andriano Field” in honor of the longtime coach, who led the Broncos to six IHSA state titles during his 38 seasons (1979-2016) as the program’s head coach.
