Michael F. O’Connor, Sr., age 88, longtime Lombardian, passed away March 28, 2026.
Michael was the dear husband of the late Helen O’Connor; dear dad of Kathy (Carl) Popovsky, Michael (Julie) O’Connor Jr., and Dan (Theresalynn) O’Connor; dear grandpa of Liam Popovsky, Owen Popovsky,
Caitlin O’Connor, Eden O’Connor, and George O’Connor; and brother and relative of many.
Michael was a longtime parishioner at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Lombard. He was a big fan of Chicago sports.
Michael enjoyed attending and supporting his grandkids’ events, games and activities.
Michael grew up at Maryville Academy in Des Plaines, Illinois with his siblings.
Memorial Mass was held Monday, May 18, 2026, at 10 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 114 S. Elizabeth St., Lombard. Inurnment followed at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Elmhurst.
