York Township has recognized Lombard resident Lawrence Lee as its August Volunteer Spotlight, celebrating his dedication, kindness and commitment to serving local seniors. Lee has volunteered with York Township for the past year and has been part of the township’s volunteer program since its beginning. His passion lies in supporting the seniors who participate in York Township’s dining room and lunch program. Whether he is clearing tables, ensuring guests have everything they need or simply greeting seniors with a friendly smile, Lee is always ready to lend a helping hand. His positive attitude and willingness to go above and beyond help create a warm and welcoming dining experience for everyone. “Lawrence is a truly valuable member of our volunteer team,” said York Township Supervisor Timothy Murray. “His kindness and dedication reflect the spirit of our motto, ‘Neighbors Helping Neighbors.’ We are incredibly grateful for the time and care he gives to our seniors and the entire York Township community.” (Submitted photo)
