The Lombard Police Department recently reported the following arrests and citations. Persons charged with domestic battery are not named in order to protect the privacy of victims. Readers are reminded that an arrest does not constitute a conviction, and that subjects are considered innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law. Juveniles age 17 or younger are not named.
Assault, battery
April 27
A physical altercation occurred involving two juveniles at Glenbard East High School. Administrators at the school advised they would handle the matter.
April 26
A complainant in the 2300 block of S. Fountain Square reported at 3:22 a.m. that a group of juveniles requested an Uber and that he had to cancel the ride due to there not being enough seats. He advised that one male juvenile punched the driver in the face and that the juveniles fled on foot. Complaints will be signed.
April 25
A complainant in the 100 block of S. Lincoln advised that a subject touched her inappropriately while in an elevator.
April 24
LC Hughes, 52, of Westmont, was charged with battery and theft at Extended Stay America, 2701 E. Technology, at 7:42 p.m.
April 23
A juvenile in the 400 block of N. Main made a delayed report of an assault that occurred in Lombard.
April 22
A juvenile complainant reported a juvenile subject and a group of other juveniles sprayed her with water bottles, chased her and threw items at her. Complaints will be signed.
Criminal damage, criminal trespassing
April 26
A complainant in the 500 block of N. Edgewood reported her husband's tires were slashed. There was no information on a suspect.
April 25
An employee at Embassy Suites, 707 E. Butterfield, requested at 12:45 a.m. that a subject be trespassed from the property.
April 24
Two subjects were trespassed from Zen Leaf, 783 E. Butterfield, at 7:29 p.m.
Domestic battery, disorderly conduct, domestic incident, dispute, disturbance
April 27
A 51-year-old Lombard man was charged with domestic batter in the 200 block of S. Lombard.
April 26
A complainant in the 1100 block of E. Cambria Lane reported his mother hit him. The mother advised they were in an argument and that he also struck her. Neither party wanted to sign complaints.
A complainant in the 500 block of E. Prairie advised her neighbor has been yelling at her for the past two days.
April 25
An officer in the 700 block of E. Butterfield attempted to locate a female who was reportedly screaming at a male to leave her vehicle. The officer was unable to verify the incident.
Police in the 500 block of S. Stewart reported a physical domestic incident between a complainant and a subject at 8:48 p.m. An officer obtained a warrant for the subject.
April 24
A 19-year-old Lombard woman was charged with domestic battery in the 300 block of Summit Circle at 12:27 a.m.
April 23
A complainant in the 400 block of S. Edgewood reported that a subject grabbed her by the wrist, which caused injury, and left. A warrant was obtained for the subject’s arrest.
DUI, DUI-drugs, consumption of alcohol by a minor, illegal possession of alcohol
April 26
Jahron Falkner, 23, of Wheaton, was issued a citation for transportation of open alcohol by a driver; Natalie Vera, 21, of Villa Park, and Juliana Gonzalez, 21, of Des Plaines, were issued citations for possession of open alcohol by a passenger; and Nayeli Garcia, 20, of Villa Park, was issued a citation for unlawful possession or consumption of alcohol by a minor near Westmore-Meyers and Kufrin at 1:35 a.m.
April 25
Elijah E. Dalager, 43, of Bensenville, was charged with DUI and speeding near Main and Madison at 2:29 a.m.
Mark Effrein, 66, of Wheaton, was charged with DUI in the 400 block of E. Butterfield, while Jennifer Pedretti, 27, of Orland Park, was issued a citation for selling alcohol to an intoxicated person. Pedretti was released on a notice to appear.
April 23
Aaron Reck, 37, of Lombard, was charged with DUI, reckless driving, driving without insurance, improper display of registration, failure to reduce speed and damage to village property in the 100 block of E. Majestic at 7:48 p.m.
April 22
Frank Pykor, 54, of Lombard, was charged with DUI, disobeying a stop sign, driving without insurance and improper passing on the right near Grace and Morningside at 1:18 p.m.
Harassment, threats
April 27
A complainant in the 800 block of S. Finley advised that a subject sent threatening messages. They were both advised to avoid contact with each other.
An employee at a business in the 100 block of W. St. Charles reported she is being harassed by a subject.
A complainant in the 1100 block of N. Ridge reported that a subject makes inappropriate comments toward her at work. She advised she would report it to her supervisor as well.
April 25
A complainant in the 300 block of N. Columbine advised that two subjects have been harassing him for months.
April 22
A complainant in the 200 block of N. Fairfield advised that his neighbor harasses his daughters when they get off the school bus. An officer was unable to speak with the subject.
Identity theft, fraud
According to information provided by the Lombard Police Department, eight incidents of identity theft or fraud were reported in the village between April 21 and April 27.
Possession of cannabis
April 21
Windelon Robinson-Holman, 22, of Lombard, was charged with unlawful possession of cannabis, speeding and driving without insurance near S. Main and W. Roosevelt at 1:35 a.m.
Retail theft
The Lombard Police Department reported the following incidents of retail theft or attempted retail theft that took place in the village between April 21 and April 27: Dick’s Sporting Goods, 810 E. Butterfield, at 12:48 p.m. April 21; Target, 60 Yorktown, at 3:57 p.m. April 23 and 4:15 p.m. April 24; and JCPenney, 175 Yorktown, at 4:40 p.m. April 27.
April 26
Penny Ward, 59, of Yorkville, was issued a citation for retail theft at Von Maur, 145 Yorktown.
April 25
Brenda Pfeiffer, 69, of Bartlett, was charged with retail theft at Von Maur, 145 Yorktown, at 1:20 p.m.
April 24
Nishanth Achari, 49, of Morton Grove, was issued a citation for retail theft at JCPenney, 175 Yorktown, at 12:20 p.m.
Donielle Mitchell, 40, of Chicago, was charged with retail theft and burglary at Jewel-Osco, 1177 S. Main, at 7:48 a.m. Mitchell was transported to the DuPage County Jail on a failure to appear warrant out of Cook County.
Road rage
April 21
Two subjects were involved in a road altercation near Finley and Madison. Neither party wanted the police to get involved.
A complainant near Roosevelt and Ahrens advised at 10:21 p.m. that someone kicked his vehicle. The complainant wanted police to be aware of the incident.
Suspicious incident
April 27
A complainant in the 300 block of S. Westmore-Meyers advised that a subject parks behind the complainant’s building, blocking his driveway.
A complainant in the 1100 block of S. Finley advised at 8:28 p.m. that everything in her apartment was broken. The complainant allowed officers inside, and a small child was located. The child appeared to be fine.
April 26
An officer in the 700 block of E. Butterfield observed a male yelling profanities in a parking lot. His family advised he was upset due to losing his glasses.
April 25
Employees at Jewel-Osco, 1177 S. Main, advised at 9:49 a.m. of several juveniles wearing ski masks running around the store, possibly committing retail thefts. The juveniles were gone upon an officer’s arrival.
April 23
A complainant in the 700 block of E. Butterfield reported at 5:24 a.m. that a subject, who may possibly be in a gang, threatened her safety. An officer did not observe any threatening messages. The complainant refused medical attention.
Theft, burglary, deceptive practices
April 27
A complainant at the Westin, 70 Yorktown, reported her vehicle was broken into and her purse was stolen.
An employee at Grove Dental, 2 E. 22nd, reported cash was missing from the office.
April 24
A complainant at Midwest Express Clinic, 601 E. Roosevelt, reported her e-bike and gym bag were stolen.
Warrant arrest
April 22
James Lynch, 25, of Lombard, was released on scene in the 200 block of S. Westmore-Meyers at 11:05 p.m. with a pre-trial release for a warrant from DuPage County.
