The Lombard Police Department recently reported the following arrests and citations. Persons charged with domestic battery are not named in order to protect the privacy of victims. Readers are reminded that an arrest does not constitute a conviction, and that subjects are considered innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law. Juveniles age 17 or younger are not named.
Assault, battery
June 20
Jani Done, 32, of Lombard, was charged with battery, disorderly conduct, public indecency, threatening a public official and resisting arrest in the 2000 block of S. Finley at 8:38 p.m.
June 15
An employee in the 1800 block of S. Highland reported a patient made unwanted physical contact with her. No charges were filed.
June 12
A complainant in the 100 block of Woodland reported at 8:38 p.m. that a subject struck her, but she did not want to sign complaints.
Criminal damage, criminal trespassing
June 16
A principal at St. Pius X School, 601 S. Westmore-Meyers, reported a subject entered the building the previous night and wandered around the school.
A complainant in the 800 block of W. Foxworth reported she was in an altercation with her juvenile son. She requested resources for his behavior.
June 14
An employee at Target, 60 Yorktown, reported that a subject was yelling profanities. The employee wanted the subject to be trespassed.
A complainant in the 1000 block of E. Division reported at 10:03 p.m. he was in a verbal altercation via phone with a subject, who arrived at his house, kicked the door open and entered without permission.
Domestic battery, disorderly conduct, domestic incident, dispute, disturbance
June 18
A complainant/employee at McDonald’s, 1 Yorktown, reported two subjects ordered food and when they returned, they began yelling and swearing at the complainant/employee.
A 26-year-old Bolingbrook man was charged with domestic battery and transported to the DuPage County Jail on a warrant at 7:37 p.m.
June 17
A 28-year-old Lombard man was charged with domestic battery in the 300 block of N. Garfield. He was transported to the DuPage County Jail.
June 16
A complainant in the 800 block of W. Foxworth reported at 12:43 a.m. that a subject took their child in a parental abduction. The complainant changed her story and advised she gave the juvenile to the subject because she did not want to deal with him.
June 15
A 23-year-old Elgin man and a 23-year-old Lombard man were each charged with domestic battery in the 100 block of W. St. Charles. Both subjects were transported to the DuPage County Jail.
A 43-year-old Lombard man was charged with domestic battery near Westmore and Jackson at 3:52 p.m. He was transported to the DuPage County Jail.
June 14
Robert Kowsky, 44, of Montgomery, was issued a citation for disorderly conduct at AMC, 80 Yorktown, at 7:26 p.m.
An employee at Target, 60 Yorktown, reported that a subject grabbed an employee by their work vest. The employee did not want to press charges or have the subject trespassed.
A complainant in the 100 block of W. North reported his neighbor launches fireworks at all hours of the day. An officer made contact with the subject, who denied the allegations and refused to speak with the officer.
June 13
A 28-year-old Maywood man was charged with domestic battery and aggravated battery in the 2700 block of E. Technology at 9:29 p.m. He was transported to the DuPage County Jail.
June 12
A complainant in the 2700 block of E. Technology reported her boyfriend struck her with his vehicle and left the area. Medics evaluated the complainant and she refused to be transported to a hospital. A warrant was issued for his arrest.
June 11
A 26-year-old Lombard man was charged with domestic battery near N. Main and E. St. Charles at 12:14 a.m. He was transported to the DuPage County Jail.
DUI, DUI-drugs, consumption of alcohol by a minor, illegal possession of alcohol
June 17
Gabriel Bautista, 20, of Cicero, was charged with DUI, speeding, violation of a permit and unlawful consumption of alcohol by a minor in the 800 block of E. Roosevelt at 1:32 a.m.
June 15
Tyrone D. Logan, 47, of Chicago, was charged with DUI and use of unsafe tires near W. Roosevelt and Lincoln at 1:24 a.m.
June 14
Jorge Diego, 22, of Carol Stream, was charged with DUI and no valid driver’s license in the 100 block of W. North at 2:33 a.m.
Matthew Shelton, 43, of Dolton, was charged with obstructing identification and carrying a concealed firearm under the influence in the 1100 block of S. Main at 7:27 p.m. Shelton was transported to the Lombard Police Department, processed on a warrant and transported to the DuPage County Jail.
June 13
Shaniqua C. Carothers, 32, of Chicago, was charged with DUI, stopping in a roadway, making an improper turn and failure to signal near Butterfield and Fountain Square at 2:48 a.m.
Fleeing, eluding
According to information provided by the Lombard Police Department, police reported one incident of fleeing and eluding during which a driver fled the scene after being stopped for a traffic stop by police.
Harassment, threats
June 16
A complainant at Sunset Knoll, 820 S. Finley, advised his ex-girlfriend’s sister made disturbing comments toward him.
June 15
An employee at Redspeed, 450 W. Eisenhower, reported a subject sent the business harassing emails.
June 13
A complainant in the 600 block of E. South Broadway reported feeling stalked by a subject, who stated she has not been following the complainant.
A complainant in the 2700 block of S. Highland reported she received verbal threats from a subject, who denied the claim.
A complainant in the 400 block of W. Hickory advised they lost their phone in Chicago. The complainant started to receive phone threats from the subject who found the phone.
June 12
A complainant in the 300 block of W. Greenfield reported at 11:23 p.m. that a subject was sending him threatening messages. An officer did not observe the messages to be threatening.
Identity theft, fraud
According to information provided by the Lombard Police Department, three incidents of identity theft or fraud were reported in the village between June 11 and June 20.
Possession of cannabis
June 18
Quiante Gregory-Kimmons, 21, of Evanston, was issued citations for unlawful possession of cannabis, suspended registration, driving without insurance and unlawful display of registration near Roosevelt and Lloyd at 1:02 a.m.
Retail theft
The Lombard Police Department reported the following incident of retail theft or attempted retail theft that took place in the village between June 11 and June 20: the 2100 block of S. Highland at 12:47 p.m. June 13.
June 20
Arcelia Padilla-Vazquez, 42, of Villa Park, was issued citations for retail theft at JCPenney, 175 Yorktown, at 5:09 p.m.
June 12
Sarah E. Chavez, 47, of Dixon, Illinois, was charged with retail theft at Jewel-Osco, 1177 S. Main, at 2:05 p.m.
Zinet Sherifi, 48, of Downers Grove, was issued a citation for retail theft at JCPenney, 175 Yorktown, at 1:44 p.m.
Suspicious incident
June 20
Police learned of a suspicious social media post in the 1500 block of S. Main involving juveniles. Investigators spoke to parents of the juveniles.
A complainant in the 500 block of E. Berkshire advised at 9:46p.m. that unknown suspects threw tomatoes and eggs at his front window.
June 19
Juveniles were observed near Maple and Ahrens at 5:54 p.m. lighting fireworks. One juvenile was also observed on a minibike after being warned twice by the police department. All of the juveniles were released to a parent, and the minibike was towed to the police station.
June 14
A complainant in the 600 block of N. Martha reported an unknown female rang his door bell and then approached his vehicle.
Theft, burglary, deceptive practices
June 19
A complainant in the 100 block of W. St. Charles reported her package was stolen.
June 18
A complainant in the 1100 block of E. Wilson reported her Toyota Camry was burglarized overnight and items were missing.
June 17
A complainant in the 1900 block of S. Valley reported an ex-employee was continuing to deliver freight under the company name.
June 15
A complainant in the 100 block of W. St. Charles reported a package theft.
An employee in the 300 block of E. Butterfield reported a company issued laptop was missing.
June 14
A complainant in the 1-100 block of S. Park reported that a subject approached him, struck him in the chest and stole a silver chain that was around his neck.
June 12
A complainant in the 200 block of N. Westmore reported a missing Amazon delivery. The subject returned the item. Police advised the complainant and the subject to keep their distance from each other.
June 11
A complainant in the 2200 block of S. Stewart reported an unknown person attempted to steal his silver Kia Soul. No suspect information was available.
A complainant in the 800 block of W. Foxworth reported his package was stolen.
A complainant at Yorktown Center reported she left her purse/bag at the Victoria’s Secret store. The complainant advised she contacted the store and was advised the bag had not been located or turned in.
Warrant arrest
June 14
Regina Gheldof, 41, of Plainfield, was processed on a warrant at 2:11 a.m. and transported to the DuPage County Jail.
Tommy Rice, 44, of Joliet, was issued an in-jurisdiction warrant near Butterfield and Fairfield at 6:42 p.m.
June 11
Jeffrey Edwards, 46, of Lombard, was transported to the Lombard Police Department, where he was handed over to the Schaumburg Police Department for its warrant.
