Illinois AirCheck mobile testing units will return to the Bensenville Water Park & Splash Pad parking lot this September, offering convenient vehicle emissions testing for area motorists.
Specially equipped emissions testing vans will be on-site from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Friday, Sept. 15-18, providing an additional testing option for motorists who have received notice that their vehicles require emissions testing.
The Illinois AirCheck Mobile Testing Unit program is designed to improve accessibility by bringing emissions testing services directly into local communities.
Motorists can confirm whether their vehicles require testing by using the Vehicle Eligibility Check Tool at ilairteam.com/vehicle-eligibility-check-tool and entering their Vehicle Identification Number or license plate number.
Hosting the mobile testing units locally helps make a routine but necessary process more convenient for the community, according to Bensenville Park District Executive Director Joe Vallez.
“Providing emissions testing at the Bensenville Water Park makes it easier for motorists to take care of this requirement close to home,” Vallez said. “It’s a simple way to offer added convenience and support the community’s needs.”
The Bensenville Water Park & Splash Pad is located at 1100 W. Wood St. in Bensenville. The MTUs are scheduled to visit Bensenville one more time, Tuesday-Friday, Nov. 16-20, at Veterans Park, at the corner of Main Street and Church Road.
