The Aug. 4 National Night Out event, put on by the Addison Police Department in order to bring the community together, was a shining night for the Addison residents. Although the police department may have come in second to the Addison Fire Protection District in the donut eating contest, they were more than successful in putting together a memorable night for everyone. With a giant slide, pony rides, petting zoo, face painting, Touch-a-Truck, and more, as well as a chance for kids to meet first responders, Addison’s kids had a truly special night out. The performances from 7th Heaven and DJ Chicken Wang also kept the crowd going through the night.
