The 2026 Lombard Cycling Classic took place July 21 in pleasant weather conditions. The event featured a full day of cycling races on a downtown course with a start/finish line on St. Charles Road near Park Avenue. The course proceeded east on St. Charles to Main Street, south on Main to Michael McGuire Drive, west on Michael McGuire Drive to Elizabeth Street, north on Elizabeth to Main, and east on St. Charles. Cyclists covered about two-thirds of a mile on each lap around the course. One of the highlights of the event was the Family Fun Ride, which gave children and adults a chance to ride on the course for about 45 minutes. The Family Fun Ride took place before the event concluded with the 75-minute men’s professional race, which ran from 6:45 to 8 p.m.
