Eat-A-Bug Challenge dares visitors to take a creepy, crunchy bite

Posted

Think you have the guts to eat a bug? Fischer Farm, 16W680 Old Grand Ave. in Bensenville, is inviting brave adventurers of all ages to take on the annual Eat-A-Bug Challenge throughout October.

In the spirit of Halloween, visitors can stop by Fischer Farm from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily through Oct. 31 for a chance to try an edible insect and earn a free prize. From creepy to crunchy, the challenge offers a one-of-a-kind experience for those willing to take a bite and test their bravery.

Whether it’s a first taste of something unusual or a Halloween dare to share with friends and family, the Eat-A-Bug Challenge promises an unforgettable farm visit. Participants are encouraged to bring their curiosity, courage and adventurous appetites.

“Not every Halloween treat comes wrapped in chocolate,” said Katrina Frank, Fischer Farm program supervisor. “The Eat-A-Bug Challenge gives visitors a fun way to step outside their comfort zones, try something new and earn a prize for their bravery.”

The Eat-A-Bug Challenge is open to all ages and is free. No registration is required.
