Addison celebrating Fourth of July at Thursday’s Rock ‘N Wheels

Posted

The Village of Addison is celebrating the Fourth of July with a bang with Rock ‘N Wheels Bike & Car Cruise Night from 6 to 10 p.m. on the Village Green this Thursday, July 2, weather permitting.

Headlining the night will be Infinity, the ultimate 80’s cover band, taking the stage at 8 p.m. Opening the night will be Infinite Sadness, a Smashing Pumpkins Tribute, that will start the night off at 6:30 p.m. You won’t want to leave early because in celebration of the holiday weekend there will be a fireworks finale at 9:45—visible right from your seat on the Village Green.

What is the Fourth of July without a little bit of history? Stop by the Addison Historical Museum for a portrayal of Uncle Sam, done by Jon Sebastian, or ring the historic fire bell on the museum grounds to celebrate the United States’ 250th anniversary.

Be sure to take a look around inside at the exhibits in the museum as well, or stop by the Craft & Vintage Fair lining the museum buildings. All of this is available from 6 to 8 p.m. and entrance to the museum is free.

Food, beverages, and ice cream will be available for purchase from Addison's very own: 601 Bar & Grill, Barbara's Polish Deli, La Michoacana, Lou Malnati's, Muggs 'N Manor, Tacos Puebla and Dunkley's Tavern.

Additionally, stop by the Car Show located at Green Meadow Shopping Center where you can see classic cars in the spots along Lake Street only. Custom bikes can park on the East side of May Street to be viewed as well.
